Hand Dyed Fabric

Hand dyed fabrics for quilters and garment sewists, lovingly made in our dye studio. All fabric is pre-washed to remove sizing and starches, and hot washed several times & dried to set the dyes. You can expect no bleeding or back-staining, and no shrinkage. 

We use low impact fiber reactive dyes and 100% cotton (unless otherwise specified). The only other ingredient is soda ash, a cousin of baking soda, which helps to gently raise the pH of the dye bath and make our colors permanent. No soda ash or dye remains after we have finished laundering. 

Fabrics have been steam pressed before cutting. We look forward to seeing what you make!
